THRIVE
Girls in early adolescence can face a tough time - Who am I? Who do I want to be? Who do I want to be like? What do I like? How do I get others to like me? These are among the many thoughts streaming through their brains everyday.
'Thrive' is a program for girls to learn strategies for approaching life, and the future, with optimism and confidence. It is a space for them to stop and explore their thoughts about themselves and the world around them. A chance for them to spark a zest for life, through all its ups and downs. |

'Thrive' is specifically designed for girls to find their inner spark - what is it that makes them unique and how can they embrace that? Each 90-minute session runs one afternoon a week, throughout the school term, during which participants will learn and experiment with tools for:
*healthy connections *optimistic thinking *finding positive role models *analysing influences *self-esteem *confident communication Using fun, invigorating and reflective techniques, sessions will spark in girls a passion all life has to offer. |
Who's the program for? |
'Thrive' is aimed at girls in Grades 4-6. Research has shown this is a time that self-esteem begins to take a beating and that influences outside the family really begin to intertwine with their identity.
