TEEN RETREATS
There is increasing research on the link between high levels of tech use and high levels of anxiety. For girls in particular, levels of teen angst are actually on the increase for the first time in decades and our digital natives often overlook the importance of the analogue world.
the SPARK Academy's teen retreats provide teen girls the space to 'reconnect through disconnect'. That is, for 48 hours retreat participants will not access technology and, instead, will reconnect with life using the power of nature, mindfulness and slow. |
What's in the program? |
Teen retreats are a two-night, stay-over program set in the exquisite grounds of 'Amberley' overlooking the Dandenong Ranges. Staying in gorgeous, twin-share or private rooms, participants will not only connect with others, but will also reconnect with themselves while enjoying both group and solo time.
Activities draw from scientifically-proven anxiety reducing concepts such as meditation, silent hour, shinrin-yoku, the 'slow' movement and exploration of personal values. Using a balanced mix of fun, relaxation, togetherness and alone-time, girls will return refreshed and renewed and just that much more aware of how to disconnect when they need to reconnect. |
Who's the program for? |
Our retreats are aimed at teens of any age. Girls are rarely given a chance to truly interact and learn in a multi-age environment, despite all the research proving the power of this, so our retreats aim to help teens of all ages connect with others in the sista-hood.
