RELISH
One of the hardest times in a girl's adolescent journey is the transition into high school. Not only is it a time of huge emotional change, but big changes physically are occurring too. As a prime time for self-doubt to emerge, but also a time of opportunity for identity development, girls in Grades 6, 7 and 8 need support in understanding themselves but also the world of womanhood.
'Relish' is a program for girls to learn strategies for identifying and using emotional intelligence to develop their sense of self-worth and strategies for valuing the journey of female teenage-hood. |
What's in the program? |
'Relish' is specifically designed for girls to shift their inner understanding from a passive to an active process. Participants will explore the expansive realm of emotions and how they influence our view of ourselves and others. Each 90-minute session runs one afternoon a week, throughout the school term, during which participants will learn and experiment with tools for:
*creating healthy connections *analysing influences *embracing strengths and weakness *emotional intelligence Using fun, invigorating and reflective techniques, sessions will help girls relish who they are and embrace what it means to become a woman. |
Who is the

'Relish' is aimed at girls in Grades 6-8. Research has shown at this age girls are highly susceptible to external influences, especially when it comes to body image and self-worth.
