ELEVATE
In the middle years of primary school, girls often begin to establish thought and relationship patterns that will ultimately influence their future happiness. It is a time when emotions begin to heighten and can sometimes wreak havoc on a girl's understanding of herself and her world. Too often, skills for healthy thinking are not explicitly taught and our young girls are left to navigate these complicated thought processes alone.
'Elevate' is a program for girls to learn strategies for identifying and using optimistic thinking to create emotional intelligence and a healthy connection with themself and others. |
What's in the program? |
'Elevate' is specifically designed for girls to shift their inner understanding from a passive to an active process. Participants will explore the expansive realm of emotions and how they influence our view of ourselves and others. Each 90-minute session runs one afternoon a week, throughout the school term, during which participants will learn and experiment with tools for:
*creating healthy connections *positive self-talk *embracing strengths and weakness *self-confidence Using fun, invigorating and reflective techniques, sessions will elevate girls to empowered young women. |
Who's the program for? |
'Elevate' is aimed at girls in Grades 3-5. Research has shown at this age girls are really beginning to find their self-identity and start to really hear their inner voice. The right guidance can establish thought processes that will help create a positive adolescent journey.
